antioxidant and neutralizer aid

Acai Berry is a small, reddish-purple berry that is harvested from tall, slender palm trees found in the Amazon River basin of South America.  Acai has become so popular and health providing it’s found in everything from cosmetics, skin creams, food supplements, and medicines. It’s not only one of the most nutrient dense fruits that have been discovered but also contain a unique profile of nutrients that compares it to none.

Antioxidant power is the Acai true “claim to fame”, it has one of the highest antioxidant capacities of all berries, the class of fruit that are most antioxidant dense.  Containing 10x more antioxidants than red grapes and measuring on the Oxygen Radical Absorbance Capacity (ORAC) value, a value based on antioxidants, often times as #1, the Acai is the king of fruit. They also contain excellent amounts of iron, calcium, fiber, Vitamin A, and a class of compounds called anthocyanins.  These anthocyanins are natural plant based occurring antioxidants that are superpowers against harmful free radical damage.  Rounding out this unique profile of ingredients, Acai contains beneficial fatty acids such as oleic acid, one of the same oils found in olives.

Supporting the body’s ability to neutralize toxins is key to allowing the body to optimize its systems.  All day our body is faced with endogenous toxins, those produced through metabolic processes, as well as outside toxins from pollutants and environment.  Although our body has its own neutralizing mechanisms, taking in nutrients that help to support that process along with directly neutralizing this stress is important.
