the power of the dead sea
The Dead Sea's unique composition of natural minerals is produced from the dissolving surface salt created in the lake's gradual water evaporation process. The compound is then refined through solar radiation which neutralizes the sodium chloride in the salt and leaves only the mineral-rich compound in the evaporation pool.
The final compound results in a total of 26 essential minerals, twelve of which do not exist in any other body of water in the world.
Ca + Zn + Mg + K + S + P + Na + L + B + Br + Sr + Mn
In the last century, the Dead Sea area has become the largest natural spa in the world. Optimal combination of weather, natural resources (Dead Sea minerals) and geographical location makes this region a complete holistic experience for body and soul. Dead Sea minerals and mud from the Dead Sea strengthen the body's systems; desert plants and a variety of herbs that grow in the region have been known since Biblical times to provide therapeutic benefits, and the dry climate promotes healing in the body.
Before reaching the Dead Sea surface, the radiation from the sun has to travel through extra 430m of air with the highest condensation. The immediate surrounding might be dry, but the massive evaporation creates a constant mist that hovers some 200-300m above the sea, naturally filtering UV and other harmful radiation. This phenomenal location provides heliotherapy (sunlight exposure) as well as thalassotherapy therapy (immersion in water of springs or the Dead Sea).
