As the brain is the control center of the body, the nervous system are the wires that transmit the messages.

The nervous system is composed of (2) systems: the sympathetic and parasympathetic nervous systems. Each used for a specific purpose either to efficiently sustain function or immediately enhance it so your body is prepared for all types of stimuli.

The parasympathetic nervous system is used for daily maintenance and activity of the body. It is efficient, easy to modulate, and is easy on the hormonal glands. The sympathetic nervous system is for “Fight or Flight”, used to bring us to immediate attention and alertness.

These systems should work in balance. The sympathetic should be used only for emergencies and the parasympathetic as a system for the rest of the day. However, our busy “priority number one emergency” lifestyles causes use to overuse our sympathetic systems and this creates havoc on the body.

Using a variety of nutrients can begin to create the balance and calm the nerves so that proper restoration and regenerative processes can occur.
