lemon balm

relaxes the body

Lemon Balm has been prescribed as a medicinal herb since ancient Greek times.  It was dedicated to the goddess Diana over 2,000 years ago and used to sooth tension, promote sleep, and calm agitation. The herb is used by the ESCOP (European Scientific Cooperative On Phytotherapy) as a therapy to use for tenseness, restlessness, irritability, and digestive disorders.  The German Standard License has been given to Lemon Balm for use in certain nervous system issues and to improve sleep patterns.

Lemon Balm contains over seventy ingredients, containing a myriad of flavonoids, especially apigenin, kaempferol, luteolin, and the fat/water soluble antioxidants quercetin.  This variety of nutrients provides for a complex and synergistic benefit that helps to relax the body and calm the nerves.
